BUCKS AND KINGS PLAY TO INSPIRED 0-0 TIE
All attention now to Thursday’s home match against undefeated London

Cincinnati, OH  (June 21, 2009) - The Michigan Bucks and Cincinnati Kings played to an exciting scoreless draw on Saturday evening in very difficult conditions with the temperature hovering around 95 degrees at kickoff.

Playing on the road is never easy in the Premier Development League’s Great Lakes Division, and the Bucks struggled the entire first half in getting into any kind of rhythm. The young Kings team created several chances in the first half, including four corner kicks that forced Bucks goalkeeper Steve Clark into several great saves to register his fourth shut out of the season.

The Bucks gained momentum going into halftime and came out the aggressors for the final 45 minutes, including having five great chances in the last four minutes of the game.

It was once again the Bucks second half substitutes Kenny Uzoigwe, TJ Gore, Tom Catalano and Bim Ogunyemi who created chance after chance inside the penalty area in front of Kings goal keeper Matt Williams. Williams was the victim of the Bucks first win of the season (3-0 at the Canton Cup tournament), but this time he would record his own clean sheet to become the first goalkeeper to shut out the Michigan Bucks this season.

The Bucks sit at 6-2-2 on the season (20 points) in second place in the division, three points behind Kalamazoo -- with a game in hand. Creeping up behind the Bucks are the first year Forest City London team, who have quietly stayed undefeated compiling a record of 4-0-3 (15 points).  London visits the Bucks for the first of two matches the two teams will play this season -- both which should have a huge impact on the playoff picture as the teams enter the last month of the season.

The Bucks also have two games left against the Chicago Fire, currently one point behind the club, in the tight Great Lakes Division race.

The Bucks are hoping for a huge crowd on Thursday night when London comes to Ultimate Soccer Arenas (7:30 PM kick off). Tickets for the Bucks last game in the month of June are only $10 Adults and $6 Youth (under 16). Children 5 and under are always FREE to Bucks games.
